established from the pleural effusion of a 43-year-old woman with invasive breast adenocarcinoma in 1970 after radiation and chemotherapy. Widely used and extensively characterized cell line; decribed as ER-negative, but HER2neu positive; listed in the CCLE (ref 18232); RNA sequence data are available (see Ref 40906 and RNA-Seq)
