Description

This ANDV pseudovirus is replication-deficient Lentivirus pseudotyped with the envelope glycoproteins of ANDV

Applications

Our pseudoviral particles carry dual reporter genes-firefly luciferase (FLuc) and GFP-enabling versatile detection. Upon infecting target cells, the Pseudoviral Particles (PP) mediate FLuc expression, allowing quantitative assessment of infectivity via luciferase activity. Additionally, GFP serves as a fluorescent marker for visual confirmation and downstream analysis of transduced cells.

About Andes Orthohantavirus Pseudoviral Particles


Andes orthohantavirus (ANDV) is an enveloped, negative-sense, three-segmented RNA virus belonging to the family Hantaviridae and is the principal cause of Hantavirus Cardiopulmonary Syndrome (HCPS) in South America. Among hantaviruses, ANDV is unique in its documented ability to spread from person to person. Viral entry is mediated by the envelope Gn/Gc glycoprotein complex, which binds host-cell receptors and triggers membrane fusion, making these glycoproteins the primary targets of neutralizing antibodies and vaccine development.

eEnzyme's Andes Orthohantavirus Pseudoviral Particles are replication-deficient lentiviral particles pseudotyped with the ANDV Gn/Gc glycoproteins and engineered to express a firefly luciferase reporter for quantitative measurement of viral entry. These pseudoviral particles provide a safe and convenient BSL-2-compatible platform for investigating hantavirus entry, evaluating neutralizing antibodies, screening antiviral compounds, and supporting vaccine development without handling infectious ANDV. Pseudovirus-based assays are widely used for quantitative, high-throughput studies of Andes virus entry and neutralization.
