Stock Up on Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) for Summer

With summer research projects beginning, there is no better time to stock up on fetal bovine serum (FBS). Lucky for you, Neuromics continues to have several FBS options in stock and available. All our FBS products are manufactured in a fully integrated environment, from raw material collection to finished product. They are triple 0.1 μm filtered and free of viruses and mycoplasma.

Furthermore, our Preferred FBS remains on sale through the end of May ($250/500 ml). Preferred FBS offers the highest quality for growing most cell types while being the lowest price. We encourage all of our FBS customers to give it a shot. However, we always have further options if you are working with more sensitive cell types or need specialty FBS for your application.

Our human primary cells continue to support meaningful research. Investigators at the University of Nottingham used our Human Brain Pericytes (cat. HMP104), Astrocytes (cat. HMP202), and Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HBMECs) (cat. HEC02) to study the effects of hyperglycemia on the blood-brain barrier (BBB). The scientists built an in vitro BBB model by co-culturing the three cell types.
