Utilizing our proprietary lentivector systems, GenTarget has developed the LocLightTM Sub-Cellular Labeling Lentivirus product line. These premade lentivirus contain a well-defined organelle targeting signal fusioned to a fluorescent protein (GFP, RFP, CFP or BFP) and expressed under our proprietary suCMV promoter. The fluorescent proteins are non-toxic to cells, do not compromise cell structure, or interfere with signaling pathways. They are great tools for live-cell imaging and for dynamic investigation of sub-cellular signal pathways.
The expressed fluorescent protein will be localized to the specific sub-cellular compartments at 2-3 days post-transduction and can be visualized by fluorescence microscopy.

Each particle contains an antibiotic selection (Puromycin, or Blasticidin Neomycin) or no antibiotic selection (None). You can select the transduced cell via antibiotic or via its fluorescent signal if desired. See the scheme of the lentivectors below:
Please be advised, for the best visualization of some organelles, you may have to use Confocol Fluorescent Microscope.
