Alternariols

Alternariols is a toxic mycotoxin produced by numerous groups of fungi species of Alternaria. The toxins mainly pollute fruits and cereal grains, such as rye, wheat, barley, and oats. It is also a mycoestrogen.

Product Design

The principle of Alternariols Immunoaffinity Column is an antigen-antibody reaction. Alternariols monoclonal antibodies have been immobilized on the in-column gel. The toxins in the sample are extracted, filtered, diluted and then slowly passed through the immunoaffinity column, where Alternariols toxin molecules are specifically bound to the antibodies in gel. The column is then washed to remove unbound other materials. After wash, Alternariols toxins can be eluted with elution buffer and collected into analytical vials for HPLC or LC-MS/MS.

Validated Matrices

This product can selectively extract Alternariols toxins in Food, Grains, Corns, and Feed samples.
