Product use

This product is specially developed for mesenchymal stem cells drived from umbilical cord, bone marrow, dental pulp, placenta, etc.

Yocon Biology provides an all-inclusive solutions - Yocon MSC SFM for isolating, expanding, and differentiating hMSCs. MSC SFM (serum-free medium) is completely defined (CD), serum-free and Xeno-free. It is formulated for the growth and expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs). Using Yocon MSC serum free medium enables superior hMSC growth and increased consistency compared to classical serum-supplemented medium (DMEM or DMEM/F12 or RPMI1640 + 10% FBS). Using Yocon MSC SFM, (Primary P0-P5 and Passage P4-P20), human MSCs can be expanded beyond 10 passages while still maintaining their tri-lineage mesoderm differentiation potential (i.e., ability to differentiate into osteogenic, chondrogenic and adipogenic lineages).

Conditions for a good umbilical cord

No obvious edema or congestion in the umbilical cord.

Cord Huatong glue is thicker.

The umbilical cord is fresh, preferably ready to use, and should not be left for more than 48 hours.

The pregnant woman has no infectious diseases.

Transportation of Umbilical Cord

Umbilical Cord Delivery Fluid: During umbilical cord delivery, it should be transported at 4 degrees, stored in a liquid environment.

Short distance transportation (<6 hours) recommend to add DPBS or physiological saline plus dual antibody.

It is recommended to use complete culture medium and dual antibody for long-distance transportation (6h-24h).

If the umbilical cord is not processed after entering the laboratory, it should be immediately stored at 4 degrees Celsius.
