A cell cryopreservation medium, often referred to as a cell cryoprotective solution, is a specially formulated liquid that is used to protect cells from damage during the freezing and storage process.
Product use
The cell drug is an emerging agent following chemical and biological drugs, and its storage conditions are urgently to be met among numerous needs. Since the conventional cell freezing medium contains serum and DMSO, the cells from it should be treated free of any animal-derived residues of serum and cytotoxicity of DMSO before being used in the human body. The newly developed GMP grade cell freezing medium is serum-free, protein-free, and DMSO-free, and has passed systemic acute toxicity tests with defined components, greatly improving the cell freezing safety.
Cryopreservation is a crucial technique in biological research and medical applications, as it allows the long-term storage of cells and tissues at very low temperatures, typically at or below -150°C.
